This is such a fantastic novel. I’m excited to see you feature it here because it is highly under-appreciated in the main, but its influence can be spotted everywhere (Spy vs Spy, Lemony Snicket, and on and on). I recorded it in full last year and enjoyed every turn of the page: https://classicsreadaloud.substack.com/p/the-man-who-was-thursday

Absolutely Lovely review and you actually managed to avoid ⚠️ spoilers that are the bane of readers of reviewers' works.

I usually prefer GKC over CSL or JRRT. I suppose I'm old school that way or perhaps, a bit more of a topsy turvy 🌚 moon-gazer....

Father Brown gets lots of 📺 AirPlay, but I tend to bank with the POET, Gabriel Gale.....

....grace and peace to you and Joel. 🌙 Beware of anarchy and nightmares.

Love the book. It affected me profoundly. I’ve compared it to Alice in Wonderland, but deeply satisfying.

This is great - for anyone who has not read TMWT and is intrigued by this review... it is still the best GK Chesterton book I've ever read. It's exciting, surreal, filled with whimsy and anxiety, and a sense of wonder that goes well beyond the world we see and know. It's a perfect amalgamation of everything Chesterton ever wrote.
